Beaches, culture, amazing food, a villa, and a personal driver……what else could you ask for. It would be a complete understatement to say that I LOVE Bali. This is one place on Earth that I would go back to anyday.
I’m the families personal travel agent. I research and book just about every part of the trips we take so this trip was no different. I like to get the “booking.YEAH” response when my family enters into our hotel or experience the royal treatment. What I set up for this trip definitely didn’t disappoint.

WINNING!!!! Our Villa in Bali
Once we landed in Bali we had a driver that was waiting to pick us up and whisk us to our villa in Canggu; Dura Villa’s. This area is a little further out from the tourist part but we actually really liked that. When I look at our accommodations I look for what do I want to be closer to…downtown or our excursions. The excursions won out for this one. This Villa was near Tanah Lot, horseback riding, and the Villa had a free shuttle that takes you into the tourist areas. They have updated their color scheme since we stayed so make sure you go to the website and take a look. Just looking at their updates makes me want to go back soooooo bad. The rooms look even better now and I loved what we had.
Sometimes I have us on a tight schedule and sometimes not. This one was in the middle. I had setup a few excursions for us. We went horseback riding along the beach. It wasn’t quite what I envisioned it but it was still memorable. I envisioned riding bareback in a white dress galloping along the beach with the sea breeze playing in my hair. Well, that didn’t quite happen. Instead, I had a helmet on my head, was scared to death when the horses started galloping, I thought the water on the beach was going to wash us out to sea, and I could barely stand-up straight when I got off the horse. BUT…I would do it all again because now I know that the horses feet aren’t like ours, they were steady as a statue completely unwavering when the big waves came rumbling to the shore. I was shocked that they weren’t the least bit bothered by waves. Their confidence allowed me to settle down and enjoy the moment, horseback riding along a black beach with my family…can’t get any better than that.

Suckling Pig Tour
Devdan Show
Eat, Pray, Love Movie
Tanah Lot
Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary
Rice Fields
We also toured a suckling pig restaurant, saw a theatre show-Devdan, toured Ketut’s home (from the movie Eat, Pray, Love), Tanah Lot, the sacred monkey sanctuary, and rice fields to name a few. Whew….We saw a lot while we were there and have created memories to last a lifetime……….. BUT I could always go back and make more.

Oh my goodness I’ve always wanted to visit Bali, this makes me want to go even more!!
I must say, out of all of the places we’ve traveled, Bali ranks as one of the top places that I want to go back to. It’s the ultimate for relaxation and your money goes a long way.
